Fast Time-to-Market Customization Services

Advantech Applied Panel Computing Division is designed to function as an independent computing platform integrated into a main system or device as a component. However, application requirements exceed the original product design from time to time. Customers often come to Advantech with different specifications and application needs that stock products do not match. We receive requests for fast customization cycles in order to facilitate our customers' projects and bring their products to market quickly. Advantech's customization service can complete a design sample for you to test target within two months of project acceptance.

		Multi-choice of Special Features LCD Displays

		For some applications, such as outdoor information kiosks, system developers may require a high brightness LCD, or a transflective LCD for better viewing quality, or an LCD that supports a wide operating temperature range. Advantech can help customers choose and integrate the best LCD screen for their specific application.

		Touch screens to Match Applications

		Advantech Applied Panel Computing Division comes with a resistive touch screen as a standard offer. Different types of touch screens are also available, including "capacitive," "SAW" and "IR."

		Power Source Customization

		There are two main types of power supplies available to the Advantech Applied Panel Computing Division. The universal AC power supply is used on multi-purpose series. For customers that need a 24 V DC , 12 V DC, even 48 V DC power source, a 60 W or 80 W DC power supply can be supplied upon request.

		Fast Customization of Expansion Slots

		More than one slot requirement can be customized as long as the power total does not exceed the power supply restriction. The back cover of our Panel Computers and the expansion cards can be customized for clients who require two expansion slots.

		Fast customization of Built-in Devices

		For some applications, customers may change the CD-ROM drive to a CD-RW, DVD drive, or Combo drive, In addition, the built-in FDD can also be changed to a swappable 2.5” HDD carrier if required.

		Design, Branding, Color, Custom Packaging and Mounting Supports

		For customers that wish to develop unique product designs and branding, Advantech offers a customization service to supply different case colors, private labels, logo printing and flexible mounting and feature placement options. Customers need to pay a reasonable engineering charge for the costs for new tooling, testing and certification. A minimum quantity is also required to justify the production.

		Fast Customization of Embedded OS

		Embedded OS is default for selected products of Applied Panel Computing Division. For other products, Embedded OS support is only available upon request.

		Safety and EMC Certification Services

		Advantech standardizes its product design to meet and pass EMS/EMI and safety standards for certification. However customizations may make the certificates invalid. If you need officially certified documents for custom made products, Advantech can help to submit the product and supporting documents, at your expense, for FCC, UL, CE certification and reporting. It generally takes three to four months once test samples are delivered to the lab. Please contact Advantech for more details and associated service fees.
