Advantech provides two different types of controllers for versatile applications, Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC), and distributed Data Acquisition and Control systems. Advantech PACs are designed as a single platform with multi-disciplined controller functionalities, integrated programming tools and optional HMI/SCADA software. Advantech’s ADAM-5000 series are compact distributed data acquisition and control systems, allowing field I/O devices to easily connect to PC network applications. Meanwhile, Advantech also provides versatile software to develop Data Acquisition and Control system ultimately determines its overall flexibility and usefulness.

Advantech’s advanced software solutions are more complete, more integrated and more open, providing excellent capabilities to communicate with other devices, especially for data acquisition, testing and measurement, and control applications.

Distributed Data Acquisition and Control Systems
Advantech’s ADAM-5000 series of compact, distributed Data Acquisition and Control systems support the shift toward Fieldbus-based systems. ADAM-5000 series offers two different data acquisition and control systems to allow field I/O devices to easily connect to PC network applications: ADAM-5000 DA&C systems for Ethernet or RS-485; and ADAM-5510 series of PC-based programmable standalone controllers.
