Advantech Machine Automation offers application ready platform for various automation control solutions such as motion contro, embedded systems and others industrial automation applications. The Motion Controller could be widely applied in the SMT/PCB, semiconductor, LCD manufacturing industries, and other machine automation applications. For centralized motion control solutions, Advantech's multi- axis motion control card, PC-based controller and embedded system controller can be installed. For distributed control solutions, a complete line of Advantech Motion Network (AMONet) and the time-saving DIN-rail terminal boards are the best choices for wiring work.

  • Vision System

    Advantech machine vision is a fully integrated vision system in this all in one “smart” camera format platform. Machine vision systems are able to be configured and monitored remotely using an Ethernet connection to a PC or factory network. Small and rugged devices can be easily integrated into existing production lines, machinery, or moving equipment. Advantech machine vision with built-in opto-isolated I/O allows direct wiring to associated control devices. A 10/100 BaseTBase-T Ethernet port provides setup and monitoring access, runtime control, and standard communication protocols and passive Power over Ethernet (PoE) supports single cable interface. An integrated lamp connector provides power and strobe control to external LED light sources and the machine vision IDR allows manufacturers to combine 1D and 2D tracking with other inspection tasks, such as character reading (OCR) and feature verification.

    • VPS-3100

      Advantech VPS-3100 is a rugged and compact embedded vision system equipped with Intel® N3160 4 cores Braswell processor. The GoE feature significantly off-loads the GigE Vision protocols into dedicated co-processor which reconstructing the image. Two independent Gigabit Ethernet ports for multiple GigE Vision device connections with data transfer rates up to 2.0 Gb/s offer greatly enhanced computing power and connectivity with minimal footprint. Besides, thoughtful design ––Volume less than 0.9 Liter ––Isolated Digital I/O. The VPS-3100 supports PoE (power over Ethernet), combining power and signal supply into a single cable, enabling synchronization with multi cameras acquisition. With the VPS-3100 significant cable reduction, system installation is simplified and T.C.O is notably lowered.     • QUARTZ

      The Advantech Quartz industrial camera series have between 0.3-15.0 mega pixel CCDs and include ultra-fast speeds and a high level of technology in a very small form factor. With the Quartz series, you can choose to use many of the most popular data interfaces in the machine vision market: the popular Gigabit Ethernet interface comes with a 100 meter cable length, and PoE (Power over Ethernet) to provide camera power and data via a single cable, and also offer separate input/output ports for triggering or flash control.

    • Accessories

      A DIN-rail terminal board is a wiring board with dedicated connectors for the motors of Panasonic Minas A series, Mitsubishi MR-J2S series and Yaskawa Sigma 2 series. This terminal board can save time and effort of wiring. Each ADAM-3900 series wiring board features DIN-rail mounting terminals and consists of universal screw terminal modules designed for field signal wiring in industrial applications. Besides, DIN-rail terminal board can be connected to the analog and digital ports of Advantech products such as the PCL series.

They feature GoE(GigE Vision Offload Engine), PoE(Power over Ethernet) and ToE(Trigger over Ethernet) for high performance, robust and reliable machine vision applications. Unlike conventional NICs (network interface controller) GigE Vision protocol is implemented in software and executed on the host CPU, the processor must spend more resource to handle the network traffic and incoming frames rather than the machine vision algorithms, especially in high bandwidth, multiple camera applications. The GoE feature significantly off-loads the GigE Vision protocols into dedicated FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array), reconstruct the image then transmit to the Host PC via DMA(Direct Memory Access) in real time, release the host processor resource to execute algorithm and applications and there is no frame or packet loss during the image acquisition.   • PC-Based Programmable Motion Controller

    The MAS controller is a PC-based motion controller based on the Motion Studio software development tool. It features a range of built-in debugging tools and can be programmed using BASIC programming language. The unit is suitable for various applications and can greatly shorten the equipment development cycle. The MAS controller is integrated with a high-performance digital signal processor and field-programmable gate array. It can easily calculate trajectories, perform real-time motion control, and provide I/O processing support functions such as linear, circular, and helical interpolation. Other features include a multi-axis comparison trigger, high-speed position latch, and T/S-curve acceleration/deceleration support.       MVP-3245 provides embedded motion control platform for embedded motion applications with latest Intel Atom processor and SoftMotion technology and is aimed to machinery industry application with compact and slim form factor need.To meet different demands for industrial automation, MVP-3245 provides a variety of basic motion control functions, such as linear, circular and helical interpolation, T/S-curve speed profile and advanced motion function, such as E-Gear, E-CAM and Tangential Following. MVP-3245 also features the specific softmotion function for sector application, such as 2D compare trigger, Path DO and 3D Arc move. This controller also supports serial communication ports and several other networking interfaces.     The AMONet RS-485 series of distributed motion control products are categorized as Slave Modules and Master Cards. The AMAX-1220/1240/2240 series are used to increase the number of axes for distributed motion control networks; the AMAX-1750/2750 series extend the digital I/O capacity, each digital input module reduces wiring between driver and controller. The Master Card is installed in the host PC, the PCI-1202U and the PCM-3202P master cards collect and publish the information to the host PC. The advantage of the AMONet RS-485 is its compatibility with motor drivers from different vendors such as Panasonic, Mitsubishi and Yaskawa. Thus, the AMONet is engineered to tackle the problems of increased spending on wiring and maintenance of these distributed motion control systems.
